Statistics

Trap-neuter-return

Our very aggressive TNR program has definitely begun to make a dent in the feral cat over-population in Fernley, Silver Springs, Stagecoach, Yerington and surrounding areas.

Intake, Transfers and Adoptions

Intake & Live Outcome %

In rescue we see triumph and tragedy.  We work so hard to save every life rescued but occasionally nature has other plans and we lose the battle.

ARGONN uses the Asilomar Live Release Rate to calculate our save rate

2013    Intake  41    Live outcome  99.0%

2014    Intake  86   Live outcome  87.2%

2015    Intake 239  Live outcome  95.4%

2016    Intake 203  Live outcome  94.1%

2017    Intake 119    Live outcome  97.4%

2018    Intake 188   Live outcome  91.4%

2019    Intake 276   Live outcome  92.7%

Transfers

Total 2013 - 2019 = 456

Without a shelter our cats/kittens need more than Website exposure to get adopted.  Partnering with larger organizations such as the SPCA of Northern Nevada, Nevada Humane Society and Pet Network has been huge in helping us transfer many foster kittens and cats to shelters for adoption.

Adoptions

Total 2013 - 2019 = 583

Our biggest breakthrough for successful adoptions came in 2016 when we became a PetSmart Partner.  Finally a "store front" exposure for our adoptable kittens and cats became a reality.  We have never looked back, and have been able to save so many more lives as a result.
