COVID-19 Emergency Relief

We're thrilled to have received a grant from @Humane Society to help keep people and their pets together during the COVID-19 crisis.

This grant has purchased dog and cat food that we have been distributing to members of our community that have been struggling with lay-offs and unemployment during the last few months.  The grant will also help offset veterinary costs to those impacted most.

Our sincere thanks to HSUS for their outreach to rural Nevada!

#SpayTogether

COVID-19 has hugely impacted our lives in many ways, including caring for the animals that count on us, especially in the area of spay/neuter with so many clinics shuttered for 3+ months.  To meet the need to catch up with the backlog, 25 national sponsors joined forces to create an initiative called #SpayTogether.  The goal is to spay/neuter 50,000 dogs and cats in a 3 month period.  ARGONN is thrilled to have been chosen to participate with a supplemental grant of $4,500 to spay/neuter 100 cats.  We have successfully raised most of the matching funds to make this possible and we have teamed up with 4 local veterinary practices to perform the surgeries.  Our 3 month period is mid-July to mid-October.  The grant allows for both foster cats/kittens, owned felines and TNR.  We are off to the races!
